Haiti Update February 2010

St. Anthony’s Alliance partnered with Global Relief Now to send food, medicine, and medical supplies down to Mirebalais and Port-au-Prince last week, February 10-15th.  The food we delivered will feed 150 families for the next six weeks!

St. Anthony’s is sponsoring another trip, a surgical mission, that will leave February 26th.  The team is working on gathering 50 pairs of crutches to take down along with medicine and medical supplies. They will work with Operation Smile in Fond Parisien, an hour east of Port-au-Prince, at Love a Child Relief Foundation.

In April 2010, St. Anthony’s Alliance & Global Relief Now will go back to Haiti.  On this trip we hope to bring food, medicine, and medical supplies to Mirebalais, Port-au-Prince, and Fond du Blancs.

We are looking for aluminum, adjustable crutches, mosquito nets, and monetary donations for food and medicine.  You can donate on the website or send a check made out to St. Anthony’s Alliance to 4123 Montgomery Blvd NE 87109. For any questions please email elycetryon@gmail.com.

There has been a tremendous outpouring of support during this tough time in Haiti.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

St. Anthony’s Alliance is a non-profit organization which supports lifesaving and life enhancing interventions for the health and well being of people living in moderate and extreme poverty world-wide.
